Minimum experience and qualification
- At least 10 years of IT experience; banking-sector experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent.
Professional qualifications
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.
- ITIL Foundation in IT Service Management.
Technical competencies
- Design, architect, and operate enterprise-scale OpenShift v4.x platforms across on-premises, private-cloud, ARO, and ROSA environments.
- Define hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, connectivity, identity integration, and cloud landing-zone alignment.
- Build and maintain cluster infrastructure, including networking, storage, ingress, and security integration.
- Own platform installation, upgrades, patching, capacity planning, scaling, and health management.
- Develop architectures, blueprints, design documents, proposals, presentations, and platform roadmaps.
- Manage Operators, OperatorHub, Tekton, Argo CD/GitOps, and Istio Service Mesh.
- Automate and standardize with Ansible, Terraform where applicable, Bash, and Python; enable CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Integrate identity providers, registries, monitoring, logging, and certificate management.
- Enforce RBAC, network policies, cluster hardening, banking regulatory standards, image scanning, vulnerability management, and policy enforcement.
- Operate observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and EFK/ELK; troubleshoot performance and reliability.
- Provide 24/7 production support, incident leadership, root cause analysis, and remediation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, support platform teams, and collaborate across cloud, infrastructure, security, networking, SRE, and application teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and operate enterprise-scale OpenShift v4.x platforms across on-premises, private-cloud, and managed services including ARO and ROSA.
- Define hybrid and multi-cloud architectures and integrate on-premises clusters with cloud-hosted clusters while maintaining security and operational consistency.
- Build and maintain OpenShift infrastructure across bare-metal, virtualized, and cloud environments, including networking, storage, ingress, and security integration.
- Own platform installation, upgrades, patching, capacity planning, scaling, and platform health.
- Advise on container platforms, application modernization, and cloud-native adoption strategies.
- Design secure hybrid connectivity and ingress/egress patterns for on-premises and cloud clusters.
- Develop technical architectures, solution blueprints, and design documents; present proposals and roadmaps to review boards, leaders, and stakeholders.
- Implement and manage Operators, OperatorHub, Tekton pipelines, Argo CD GitOps, and Istio Service Mesh.
- Automate and standardize platform operations using Ansible, Terraform where applicable, Bash, and Python; support compliant CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Integrate identity providers, container registries, monitoring, logging, certificate management, and cloud-native services.
- Enforce platform security and compliance, manage container security tooling, and address image scanning and vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot platform performance, availability, and reliability; lead root cause analysis, recovery, mentorship, team coordination, and 24/7 production incident response.
