Job Description

Responsibilities

• Assess current software delivery practices and identify where AI can improve speed, quality, consistency, automation, and developer productivity.
• Design AI-assisted workflows across requirements analysis, solution design, coding, test generation, code review, refactoring, documentation, release notes, and maintenance.
• Define practical

• usage patterns, prompt examples, reusable templates, review checklists, and team playbooks.
• Train and coach developers, QA engineers, analysts, technical leads, and product teams on effective and responsible AI usage.
• Improve SDLC practices across backlog refinement, technical design, code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, peer review, and release readiness.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, DevOps, and engineering leadership to align AI-assisted development with internal standards.
• Define KPIs and reporting mechanisms to measure adoption, productivity gains, code quality, cycle time, test coverage, and developer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of the full SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, code review, and secure development practices.
• Practical experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants in real software delivery environments.
• Ability to translate AI capabilities into concrete engineering workflows, standards, and measurable productivity improvements.
• Experience working with software teams in engineering excellence, technical leadership, QA automation, DevOps, architecture, or process improvement roles.
• Strong understanding of code quality, maintainability, testing strategy, secure coding, and software delivery governance.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, documentation, and change management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience implementing AI adoption programs or developer productivity initiatives across engineering teams.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, pipelines, pull request workflows, repository governance, and engineering metrics.
• Background as a software engineer, technical lead, solution architect, QA automation lead, DevOps engineer, or engineering excellence specialist.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, data privacy, intellectual property, software security, and enterprise AI governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in SDLC optimization, software engineering enablement, AI-assisted development, or DevOps transformation will be highly valued.
