Lead Software Engineer - C# / .NET

Role

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, modernization, and maintenance of enterprise applications using C#/.NET and Angular.
• Stabilize legacy applications by addressing technical debt, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Extract services and APIs from legacy systems and design secure integrations with external systems.
• Develop SQL Server data layers, TypeScript/Node.js integrations, gRPC and Protocol Buffers services, and PostgreSQL-backed integrations.
• Deploy and support integration components on Azure; define API contracts, integration patterns, error handling, observability, and security standards.
• Troubleshoot application, cross-service, and data consistency issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Lead architecture and design discussions, reviews, coding standards, testing practices, and reusable patterns; mentor engineers and support planning and estimation.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

Mandatory requirements

• At least 8 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET experience; enterprise web application experience with Angular.
• Strong SQL Server skills, including stored procedures, query optimization, and database troubleshooting.
• Experience improving legacy applications, extracting services, and designing maintainable APIs.
• Knowledge of secure service communication, authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Hands-on TypeScript and Node.js development experience; REST API design, contracts, integration patterns, and versioning.
• Practical gRPC and Protocol Buffers experience; PostgreSQL schema design, SQL, optimization, and application integration.
• Experience deploying, integrating, and supporting application services on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, clean code, testing, debugging, and Git; ability to lead reviews and mentor engineers.
