Lead Software Engineer - C# / .NET

The role

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise application design, development, modernization, and maintenance using C#/.NET and Angular.
• Stabilize legacy systems; extract services and design secure external integrations.
• Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and data-access layers.
• Lead TypeScript/Node.js integrations, gRPC and Protocol Buffers communication, and PostgreSQL-backed integrations.
• Build, deploy, and support Azure integration components; define API contracts, integration patterns, error handling, observability, and security standards.
• Troubleshoot application, cross-service, and data consistency issues; lead root-cause analysis.
• Lead architecture discussions and reviews, establish coding and testing practices, and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams; support delivery planning and estimation.

Mandatory requirements

• At least 8 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET experience; enterprise web application experience with Angular.
• Strong SQL Server skills, including stored procedures, query optimization, and database troubleshooting.
• Experience stabilizing and refactoring enterprise applications and extracting services from monolithic or legacy systems.
• Understanding of secure service communication, authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Hands-on experience with both TypeScript and Node.js; expertise in RESTful API design, service contracts, integration patterns, and versioning.
• Practical gRPC and Protocol Buffers experience; PostgreSQL schema, SQL, optimization, and integration experience.
• Experience deploying, integrating, and supporting services on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong grasp of design patterns, clean code, testing, debugging, and Git; ability to lead design discussions, reviews, and mentor engineers.
