Responsibilities
- Interpret customer specifications and standards such as CIS benchmarks and IEC 62443; prepare deviation compliance lists as needed.
- Lead secure OT network architecture design and implementation, including IT/OT and DCS network segmentation.
- Prepare architecture and design documents, bills of materials, functional and detailed design specifications, acceptance test procedures, and integration method statements.
- Assess OT risks, vulnerabilities, and threats; conduct security audits and infrastructure assessments.
- Coordinate with customer OT teams and stakeholders, review vendors, and work with OEMs to identify suitable solutions.
- Recommend security enhancements and purchases; support hardware selection based on requirements and cost-effectiveness.
- Train customer personnel and guide OT engineers on security practices and threat awareness.
- Work with DCS teams to address vulnerabilities, integrate components securely, and obtain security patches.
- Configure, harden, and troubleshoot switches; support access controls, network monitoring, and patch management.
Qualifications and experience
- 10 to 15+ years of IT/OT network configuration and cybersecurity implementation experience.
- Previous experience leading network and system security engineers.
- Knowledge of L2/L3 switch configuration, hardening, security troubleshooting, ACLs, and network design.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Cisco, Nozomi, Palo Alto, or VMware product certification is an added advantage.
- IC32 or IEC 62443 certification is preferred.
- Hirschmann, Cisco, or other industrial switch product knowledge or certification is an added advantage.
Technical competencies
- L2/L3 switch configuration, hardening, troubleshooting, ACLs, and network-layer design.
- WSUS patch management, including safe implementation of software and firmware updates.
