Role Overview
Shape the experience of a banking mobile application through native iOS and Android product design.
The role combines UX and UI craft, mature design system collaboration, and the translation of complex financial data into clear interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI for native banking app features.
- Balance research, usability, visual design, interaction, and micro-states.
- Contribute components and patterns to the existing design system.
- Design interfaces for transaction histories, statements, and multi-account dashboards.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal.
- Conduct or support user research and usability testing and iterate on findings.
- Address accessibility, security, and compliance considerations in designs.
- Prepare developer handoff specifications and support implementation through release.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and reviews.
Requirements and Skills
- 10-12+ years of Product, UX, or UI Design experience with dedicated native mobile design experience.
- Proficiency in Figma auto layout, components, variables, and prototyping.
- A strong portfolio showing UX process and UI visual craft.
- Experience contributing to and working within a complex, mature design system.
- Experience designing complex data sets or data-dense interfaces.
- Banking or fintech experience is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Comfort working in Agile/Scrum and cross-functional environments.
