Lead iOS Developer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable iOS applications.
• Build modern experiences using SwiftUI and UIKit and reactive application functionality using Combine.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders.
• Integrate apps with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and third-party libraries; write clean, maintainable, testable, efficient code.
• Apply MVVM and other appropriate architectural patterns; perform unit and UI testing, debugging, and code reviews.
• Resolve performance bottlenecks and memory issues; develop and optimize multithreaded and asynchronous functionality.
• Implement animations and transitions and follow Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and modern iOS practices.
• Participate in CI/CD and automated application delivery; manage App Store submissions and releases.
• Implement mobile application security practices and use AI-assisted development tools in daily engineering work.
• Stay current with iOS frameworks, development practices, and platform capabilities.

Required qualifications

• At least 8 years of professional iOS development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Swift and Objective-C; hands-on experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, Core Data, and MVVM.
• Experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs and strong unit-testing and UI-testing experience, including XCTest.
• Understand iOS memory management and SwiftUI performance optimization, multithreaded programming, and networking concepts.
• Experience with Git or Bitbucket, familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo, and experience with App Store releases.
• Understand mobile application security best practices and demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Core Animation, Core Graphics, and Core Text is preferred.
• Familiarity with WatchKit and HealthKit is preferred.
• Experience with AVKit, video playback, and Google Cast is preferred.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality is preferred.
