Role Overview
The role designs, develops and enhances high-quality native Android applications, combining hands-on development with technical leadership, architecture, performance optimization, code quality and mentorship.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance native Android apps using Kotlin and Java.
- Participate in architecture, design planning and implementation of new mobile features.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, architects and backend teams.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and improve Android development practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Develop and maintain automated unit tests to improve reliability.
- Monitor and optimize performance, stability and usability; troubleshoot defects and production issues.
- Apply software engineering principles, design patterns and object-oriented programming.
- Participate in Agile activities, support CI/CD and reliable releases, and mentor developers.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional Android application development experience.
- Strong hands-on Kotlin and Java programming experience and deep knowledge of the Android SDK and native Android development.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, architecture and design patterns.
- Experience developing and launching production Android apps and monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing their performance.
- Experience with automated unit testing and code-quality practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and understanding of CI/CD and modern mobile release processes.
- Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring developers.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose is highly desirable.
- Experience with modern Android architecture and development patterns is preferred.
- Experience improving performance, scalability, stability and user experience for large-scale mobile applications is preferred.
- Previous technical lead or senior engineering experience is preferred.
