Role overview

The role is a G7 Lead DevOps Engineer in the analytical tooling strand of DSIT's analytical platform project.

The platform gives departmental analysts secure access to analytical tools and data and is based on the Ministry of Justice's open-source Analytical Platform.

The team has completed user acceptance testing and is preparing to migrate analysts onto the platform.

Platform and team work

  • Own and extend infrastructure and tools that enable analysts to work securely.
  • Help deliver secure, scalable tools such as JupyterLab, RStudio, and VS Code, GitHub integration, and cloud-based workflow orchestration.
  • Collaborate across a small team with expertise in data engineering, DevOps, and software development.
  • Support rapid platform iteration through a short feedback cycle with users.
