The role leads electrical and instrumentation commissioning for offshore oil and gas facilities.
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics Engineering, or a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience, including at least 5 to 8+ years of significant offshore project experience.
- Proven E&I commissioning, start-up and handover experience in offshore oil and gas projects.
- Demonstrated experience covering both electrical and instrumentation/control commissioning.
- Brownfield modifications, shutdowns, tie-ins and SIMOPS experience is highly advantageous.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary commissioning teams and specialist contractors is required.
- PMC/EPC background is preferred; previous ADNOC Offshore experience is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate electrical and instrumentation pre-commissioning, commissioning, energization, testing, functional checks, system integration, start-up support and handover for offshore oil and gas facilities.
- Provide technical leadership from preparation through safe energization, loop checking, functional and integrated system testing, performance verification and handover to Operations.
- Develop commissioning execution plans, priorities, work sequences and strategies for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Coordinate with Construction, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and HSE teams; verify systems are ready before functional testing.
- Lead commissioning meetings and daily coordination activities.
- Provide technical direction to commissioning engineers, supervisors, technicians and specialist contractors.
- Ensure work follows approved procedures, engineering documents, project specifications, vendor requirements, HSE standards and client/operator requirements.
