Penspen is hiring a Lead Commissioning Engineer (E&I) for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, Electronics Engineering, or a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
Responsibilities
- Lead E&I pre-commissioning, commissioning, energization, testing, functional checks, system integration, start-up support, and handover for offshore oil and gas facilities.
- Lead through safe energization, loop checking, functional and integrated system testing, performance verification, and handover to Operations.
- Ensure commissioning complies with approved engineering documents, procedures, project specifications, vendor requirements, HSE standards, and client/operator requirements.
- Develop execution plans, priorities, work sequences, and commissioning strategies for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Coordinate with Construction, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and HSE; verify system readiness before functional tests.
- Lead meetings and daily coordination; provide technical direction to engineers, supervisors, technicians, and specialist contractors.
- Ensure commissioning activities are conducted safely and according to approved procedures.
Experience required
- At least 15 years of experience, including 5 to 8+ years of significant offshore project experience.
- Proven E&I commissioning, start-up, and handover experience on offshore oil and gas projects, covering electrical and instrumentation/control commissioning.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary commissioning teams and specialist contractors.
- Brownfield modifications, shutdowns, tie-ins, and SIMOPS experience is highly advantageous.
- PMC/EPC background is preferred; previous ADNOC Offshore experience is an advantage.
