Role overview

Lead Business Analyst in the Companies House Business Analysis team, working across multidisciplinary Scrum teams and service lines.

The role supports digital services including filing, company information, intelligence and enforcement, and common services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis for service-line projects and ensure solutions align with Companies House and Digital strategy.
  • Lead analysis for business improvements, service iteration, and live-issue resolution to maintain service continuity.
  • Train and mentor analysts; oversee senior analysts, assignments, development, and performance.
  • Influence stakeholders and act as an escalation point for analysts and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate analysis representation in squad activities and advise external partner Scrum teams on strategy adherence.
  • Contribute to business testing strategies and testing coverage across improvement and project work.
  • Contribute to Agile and business analysis communities, including organising and attending events.

Essential requirements

  • Expert business analysis skills.
  • The BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis is essential; alternatives and part qualifications are not accepted.
  • Security Clearance (SC) is essential; eligibility requires at least 3 of the last 5 years in the UK.
  • Ability to coach others and communicate complex concepts clearly to organisational stakeholders.

Location and working pattern

  • The listed role location is Cardiff, Wales.
  • Working pattern is flexible and full-time.
