What you’ll bring
- You know the pharmaceutical commercial landscape, you are confident in Agile delivery and you enjoy bringing business and IT to a clear, shared answer.
- At least 5 years of hands-on Business Analyst experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with a track record of delivering technology-enabled business capabilities.
- Strong business acumen across Sales, Medical Affairs, Key Account Management (KAM), Marketing, Compliance and Content Management, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable digital capabilities.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into epics, features, user stories, detailed acceptance criteria, process flows and functional specifications within Agile delivery frameworks.
- Hands-on Agile and hybrid delivery experience, including backlog grooming, release planning, acceptance testing to determine whether it meets its business requirements, user needs, and design specifications before being approved for production deployment or customer handoff and change management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to engage stakeholders across business and IT, explain technical concepts plainly and build alignment.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, training and business adoption.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory, validation and data privacy requirements, and a safe, ethical approach to AI.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Pharmacy or a related discipline.
- Useful, but not essential:
- Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault CRM, Salesforce, marketing automation or similar customer engagement platforms, plus familiarity with data, analytics and system integration landscapes.
- What you’ll do
- You will lead requirements and backlog grooming for customer engagement capabilities, working within the governance set by Product Management, Business Owners and Enterprise IT leadership.
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, leading requirements elicitation and translating needs into clear, testable epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and functional specifications.
- Define, refine and prioritise the product backlog with Product Owners, and facilitate decisions on scope and priorities so delivery keeps moving.
- Optimise business processes by identifying root causes, risks and dependencies, and recommend solution designs based on business value, feasibility and compliance.
- Ensure traceability from business objectives through design, development, testing and deployment, and govern the quality of requirements throughout.
- Coordinate release planning, testing and UAT with architects, developers and QA, and lead change management, training and adoption so new capabilities are used in real life.
- Who you’ll work with
- In Enterprise IT & Quality, colleagues work across the full Novo value chain, staying close to stakeholders in the business and helping deliver high quality, trusted technology and environmentally responsible ways of working.
- You will join Customer Engagement Technologies (CET), part of Enterprise IT – Veeva & Ecosystem. CET drives the strategy, development and delivery of connected, data-driven commercial capabilities, partnering with Customer Engagement and Medical stakeholders to orchestrate HCP engagement and support data-informed decisions.
- Your closest partners will be Product Managers, Product Owners, Solution Architects, developers, QA and operations teams. You will also work with International Operations affiliates and end users, Global Business Services, Novo management.
- These relationships are where the role creates momentum: you bring clarity when priorities compete, speak up when things stall, and help business and IT decide, own it and follow through.
- What you can expect here
- You will be trusted to work with a high degree of independence and to make your voice heard in decisions that shape products used across markets. Working across commercial, medical and technology teams, you will broaden your perspective and build new skills on the job and through relevant learning offerings.
- As Novo upskills its entire workforce to advance AI as a driver of innovation, you can apply new technology responsibly in your daily work. Expectations are clear, results are recognised and honest feedback helps everyone raise the bar.
