Lead Architect

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and technical coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise site architectural works against approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and mock-ups.
• Inspect sites, document observations, and monitor construction progress and schedules.
• Coordinate technical issues with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE codes, authority regulations, and health and safety requirements.
• Lead QA/QC, snagging, de-snagging, and handover; mentor junior staff.
• Contribute to design changes, value engineering, and construction problem-solving.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture; professional registration or accreditation is preferred.
• At least 15 years of architecture experience, including significant construction supervision, PMC, or consultancy work.
• Experience in large-scale mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, residential, aviation, healthcare, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of architectural detailing, building materials, construction methods, and UAE regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• Communication, stakeholder management, multidisciplinary leadership, and contractor-performance management experience.
• International engineering consultancy experience; previous Abu Dhabi experience and familiarity with DMT, ADM, and UAE authorities.
• Site supervision experience on projects valued above USD 100M.
