Key Responsibilities
- Team Supervision: Lead and coordinate the activities of laundry attendants to ensure efficient operation and high-quality service.
- Laundry Operations: Oversee the entire laundry process, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of all laundry equipment, reporting any maintenance issues to the engineering team for timely repair.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure linens, uniforms, and guest laundry meet company quality standards before distribution.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor and manage stock levels of detergents, chemicals, and laundry supplies, ensuring proper storage and usage.
- Guest & Internal Services: Coordinate guest laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing services, ensuring timely delivery and handling of special requests.
- Sustainability & Waste Management: Implement eco-friendly practices by optimizing water and energy consumption, reducing chemical waste, and promoting sustainable cleaning solutions.
- Safety & Hygiene Compliance: Ensure all laundry processes comply with hygiene, safety, and infection control standards, including the proper handling of soiled and contaminated linens.
- Training & Development: Provide training to laundry attendants on best practices, machine operation, safety protocols, and guest service excellence.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the housekeeping, uniform, and linen departments to ensure smooth operations and timely linen distribution.
- Report & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of laundry operations, including equipment maintenance logs, inventory levels, and performance reports.
Experience
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a hotel or commercial laundry operation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of laundry chemicals, fabric care, and machine operation.
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with multiple departments.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to quickly address and resolve operational challenges while maintaining service excellence.

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or certification in hospitality or textile management is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a hotel or commercial laundry operation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
