Job Description
We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles & Fairmont Doha as our new Laundry Attendant.
As a Laundry Attendant at Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional standards of garment and linen care to support a seamless luxury guest experience.
Representing the elegance and service excellence of both Raffles and Fairmont, you will ensure all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry are handled with the utmost care, efficiency, and attention to detail in accordance with the highest hospitality standards.
You will play an integral role in maintaining the impeccable presentation and operational excellence of the hotel by ensuring laundry services are completed accurately, timely, and professionally.
Working closely with the Housekeeping and Laundry teams, you will contribute to creating exceptional guest experiences while upholding the distinguished reputation of Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, pressing machines, and ironing equipment, in accordance with hotel standards and safety procedures.
- Ensure all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest luxury hospitality standards.
- Handle guest laundry requests efficiently and professionally, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional attention to detail.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, press, and organize laundry items while following proper fabric care and laundry procedures.
- Inspect linens, uniforms, and guest garments for damage, stains, or wear, reporting any issues to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, storage rooms, and equipment at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies, chemicals, linens, and uniforms, reporting shortages as required.
- Adhere to hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety standards while handling laundry chemicals and equipment responsibly.
- Coordinate closely with the Housekeeping team and other departments to support seamless hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
- Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality of guest information and belongings at all times.
- Handle guest concerns and special laundry requests professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and service excellence.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment while upholding the luxury service culture of Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha.
Qualifications
- What will you bring to this role?
- Previous experience in Laundry Operations, Housekeeping, or a similar role within a luxury hotel environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of laundry procedures, fabric care, stain removal techniques, and laundry equipment operation preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and garment care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
- Ability to handle guest requests professionally, courteously, and with discretion.
- Physically fit and able to perform laundry duties efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently while maintaining operational excellence.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow departmental procedures, hygiene standards, and brand standards consistently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse and multicultural team environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
