A Land Surveyor is responsible for performing precise field measurements, setting out construction points, and preparing topographic maps for infrastructure and building projects, ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM) or Road and Transport Authority (RTA) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- **Field Operations:**
- Conduct field surveys, topographic mapping, and geodetic calculations.
- **Setting Out:**
- Establish precise horizontal and vertical control points, lines, and levels for construction projects.
- **Data Analysis & Reporting:**
- Prepare detailed maps, sketches, survey reports, and as-built drawings using software like AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- **Compliance:**
- Ensure all work adheres to local regulations, including Dubai Municipality (DM) and RTA standards.
- **Equipment Management:**
- Maintain, calibrate, and operate surveying instruments, including Total Stations, GPS, and Levels.
- **Collaboration:**
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and engineers to verify measurements and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements
- **Education:**
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- **Experience:**
- 8-12+ years of experience in land surveying, specifically within the construction industry, high rise projects.
- **Technical Skills:**
- Proficiency in GPS, Total Station, and CAD software is required.
- **Knowledge:**
- Familiarity with UAE local authority procedures and land laws.
- **Certifications:**
- A valid UAE driving license is often preferred.
