Laboratory Technologist

Job Responsibilities

• § The Technologist is primarily responsible for patient testing; this may include obtaining and pre-testing processing of samples, along with reporting results and assuring that they are delivered to the proper destination.
• § Provides analysis and technical solutions to a variety of problems that are routinely encountered under normal business activities.
• § Willing to learn and take on new projects as they come about.
• § Responsible for processing various daily, monthly and quarterly reports and all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• § Clarify orders on patients if they are unclear, to ensure that the tests the physician intended are performed
• § Assist phlebotomist when necessary, especially in the processing of specimens.
• § In the absence of a phlebotomist the Technologist is required to keep up with specimen collection and paperwork.
