Overview
- Conduct routine and specialized tests on construction materials including soil, concrete, cement, aggregates, and asphalt
- Carry out field and laboratory testing as per relevant standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO, or project specifications)
- Prepare samples and perform testing such as:
- Sieve analysis
- Proctor compaction test
- Atterberg limits
- Slump test and compressive strength test for concrete
- Asphalt density and bitumen tests
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration is up to date
- Ensure proper sample collection, labeling, and storage
- Assist QA/QC Engineers in quality control documentation
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized lab environment
- Support site inspection teams when required
