As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician

to join our team.

Your Main Role Will Be:

• Receive, label, verify, and prepare biological samples for testing and analysis.
• Perform routine laboratory procedures including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR preparation, gel electrophoresis, sequencing support, and other molecular genetics techniques.
• Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments such as centrifuges, PCR machines, microscopes, and genetic analyzers.
• Conduct quality control checks, validate test procedures, and ensure accuracy and reliability of test results in line with laboratory standards.
• Record test results, maintain accurate laboratory logs, update databases/LIMS systems, and ensure proper documentation of all procedures and findings.
• Follow biosafety protocols, SOPs, and quality standards; ensure safe handling and disposal of biological and chemical materials.
• Monitor laboratory consumables, prepare reagents and solutions, manage stock levels, and coordinate ordering of supplies.
• Process and analyze complex genetic and laboratory data sets.
• Assist scientists or senior laboratory staff in troubleshooting technical issues and improving laboratory processes.
• Support research projects, validation studies, and implementation of new genetic testing methods or laboratory techniques.

Requirements :

• A Bachelor's degree in Evolutionary Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field is required.
• At least 2 years of work experience in a laboratory environment.
• Excellent understanding of best laboratory practices in molecular biology.
• Preparation of solutions (reagents/buffer) and media for molecular biology applications.
• DNA/RNA isolation and management of a DNA storage system.
• PCR, qPCR, and rt-qPCR preparation and troubleshooting.
• Electrophoresis tests.
• Strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
