Senior Lab Technician (Eiac Compliance Experience)Overview
A Senior Lab Technician with EIAC experience is responsible for performing advanced laboratory testing while ensuring full compliance with Emirates International Accreditation Centre standards.
This role includes maintaining accreditation, managing audits, and implementing quality systems aligned with international standards such as ISO/IEC 17025.
Key Responsibilitieslaboratory Operations
- Perform complex tests, calibrations, and analyses
- Ensure accuracy, reliability, and repeatability of results
- Validate test methods and procedures
Eiac Compliance & Accreditation
- Maintain and implement EIAC accreditation requirements
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards
- Prepare documentation for EIAC audits and assessments
- Handle internal and external audit processes
- Address non-conformities and implement corrective actions
Quality Management System (Qms)
- Develop, update, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and manuals
- Monitor quality control procedures and KPIs
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability
Supervision & Training
- Train and supervise junior lab technicians
- Ensure staff follow EIAC and safety standards
- Conduct competency assessments
Equipment & Calibration
- Manage calibration schedules and records
- Ensure all instruments meet EIAC requirements
- Coordinate external calibration services
Health, Safety & Environment
- Enforce laboratory safety policies
- Ensure proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials
Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain lab inventory and consumables
- Ensure proper recordkeeping for audits and compliance
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and EIAC regulations
- Experience handling EIAC audits and accreditation processes
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills
- Leadership and team supervision ability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field
- 5+ years of laboratory experience
- Proven experience working in an EIAC-accredited lab
- Internal auditor certification (preferred)
- Training in ISO/IEC 17025 (highly preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in UAE-based laboratories
- Handling EIAC inspections and renewals
- Root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
