About the role

Join Total Technology’s global team in Dubai in an L1 role combining network operations and cybersecurity.

Monitor client environments, investigate alerts, and take appropriate action to keep systems available and secure.

Work within approved procedures, attempt resolution, escalate when needed, and maintain incident ownership and communication.

Senior escalation support and mentoring are provided by UK engineers.

Location and working hours

  • The role is on-site in Dubai.
  • Initial hours are Monday to Friday, 10am–7pm Dubai time.
  • The role supports 24/7 operations and requires flexibility for rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.

Compensation

  • Salary is AED 4,000–5,000 per month.

Platforms and environment

  • Network monitoring uses Auvik.
  • Security and management platforms include Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Huntress SIEM, Heimdal, Cisco Umbrella, and Datto RMM.
  • Supported environments include business IT, commercial buildings, and smart building networks.

What you’ll do

  • Monitor client networks and investigate availability, performance, connectivity, and device-health alerts.
  • Review security alerts across endpoint, cloud, SIEM, and web security platforms.
  • Assess incidents, determine impact and urgency, and prioritize action against service levels.
  • Troubleshoot network and security issues using approved actions and procedures.
  • Perform authorized security actions and approved network changes.
  • Use Datto RMM to investigate device health and carry out approved remote support actions.
  • Escalate complex incidents with findings, evidence, and actions already taken.
  • Maintain client communications, incident tickets, network documentation, and shift handovers.
  • Follow incidents through resolution, coordinate with other teams, and help improve monitoring and procedures.

What you’ll bring

  • Around 1–2 years of relevant experience in network support, cybersecurity, a NOC/SOC, or managed IT services.
  • Practical understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networking.
  • Basic knowledge of cyber threats, endpoint protection, email security, and log analysis.
  • Logical troubleshooting skills and judgment to recognize when to escalate.
  • Strong written and verbal English for client updates, incident records, and collaboration with UK colleagues.
  • Attention to detail, ownership of assigned work, and ability to prioritize competing alerts.
  • Willingness to learn and work rotational shifts supporting 24/7 operations.
  • Experience with Auvik or listed platforms is advantageous, but experience with every tool is not required.
  • CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft security certifications are desirable, not mandatory.

Development and progression

  • Training, access to funded certifications, and mentoring from experienced UK engineers are offered.
  • Progression opportunities include Network Administrator, Network Engineer, or cybersecurity roles within the global team.
