Job Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Kitchen Technician to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the optimal performance of all commercial kitchen equipment.
- You will work to minimize equipment downtime, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities through systematic maintenance and technical expertise.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigeration units, dishwashers, grills, and ventilation systems
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement timely repairs to minimize operational disruptions
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment longevity and reliability
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance in detailed records
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment meets local health and safety regulations in the UAE
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand equipment issues and provide technical guidance
- Assist with the installation and setup of new kitchen equipment
- Maintain a well-organized inventory of spare parts and tools
- Respond promptly to emergency equipment failures and provide on-call support as needed
- Stay current with industry best practices and equipment manufacturer guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance and repair
- Strong technical knowledge of kitchen appliances and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with UAE safety regulations and compliance requirements (preferred)
- Certification in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance or related technical field (preferred)
- Experience working in hospitality, food service, or catering environments (preferred)
- Ability to read technical manuals and equipment schematics
