Penhurst Gardens provides 24-hour residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 58 elderly residents in a beautifully decorated, modern care home. The home offers spacious private bedrooms with ensuite wet-rooms, communal living areas, café, hair salon, leisure and wellness room and private dining room.

Full Time Position - 33 Hours Weekly - 8am to 6pm - Alternative Weekends

As a Kitchen Porter you will support the kitchen team to serve delicious, well-balanced and nutritious meals that our residents will love. Kitchen Porter responsibilities include washing pots and pans, keeping floors clean, sanitising food preparation areas and ensuring food is stocked up in all areas of the home by checking and replenishing stock and help with unloading and putting away deliveries. If you think you'll enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen, we'd like to meet you.

You will be reliable, considerate and caring in your approach. Formal qualifications are not necessary as full training will be provided, although any similar experience gained in a commercial kitchen or care setting would be highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
