Position Summary
Support recreation activities and provide information about pools, beach areas, entertainment zones, fitness facilities, and children's activities.
Register and schedule guests for recreation activities and promote a fun, relaxing, and safe environment.
Maintain recreation facilities, equipment, and supplies and respond appropriately during emergencies.
Recreation and Guest Activities
- Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for recreation activities.
- Promote recreation facility rules for guest and member safety.
- Assist with private functions, group activities, and events.
- Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
Payments and Systems
- Provide cashier services in facilities with point-of-sale transactions.
- Process payments for rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, and retail sales.
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers and point-of-sale systems.
- Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
Safety and Facility Duties
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Complete safety training and required certifications.
- Clean and maintain recreation facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for defects.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move through narrow, confined, elevated, uneven, or slippery spaces.
- Move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 25 pounds independently and heavier objects with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No related work experience is required.
- No supervisory experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- CPR certification is required.
- First Aid certification is required.
- Recreation equipment certification or training is listed among the required qualifications.
- Any certification or training required by local and state agencies is required.
