Job Description
- **Budgets and Plans:**
- Contribute to the preparation of the international section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of the anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.
- **Policies, Systems, Processes, & Procedures**
- : Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
- **Day-to-day Operations:**
- Supervisor the day-to-day operations of the International Department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
- Responsible for consistently growing sales profitably across geographies/channels, while assuring collections and effectiveness of the entire sales organization.
- Full strategic and operational responsibility of East and West Africa
- Develop and implement sales strategies, including route-to-market plans for the region and future geographies.
- Expand the customer base (distributors, retailers, wholesalers) in East and West Africa.
- Conduct regular customer and outlet visits to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to establish robust documentation and processes
- Ensure adequate stock availability in customers' warehouses.
- Monitor, evaluate, and enhance customer performance
- Visit customers and the outlets to identify growth opportunities.
- **Key performance indicators include:**
- **Protect & Grow Savola brands in Existing markets:**
- Weekly call and / or F2F meetings with all existing customers to develop PR and discuss sales progress, business plan and deliverables in their respective markets and guide them from time to time.
- Periodically update the Value chain for existing markets every 4 months.
- Monthly report for each key market to be shared with HO and customer to track progress, review in market visibility, competition outlook . . . etc.
- **Expand into New East and West African Markets**
- :
- Prepare GTM Strategy for key East and West African markets. Evaluate distributors and do distributor assessments for potential markets.
- Develop Value chain and competitor analysis and perform compliance checks to appoint and grow Savola Foods exports in East and West African markets.
- **Forecasting & Delivery:**
- Prepare and submit Full Year Forecast, by customer and by SKU. Ensure that the month-on-month forecast is delivered.
- Monthly review and submission of BOY forecast, along with action plan and Building blocks.
- Monthly reports and Market updates for each market by 5th of month:
- (1) Sales & stock Report
- (2) Distribution coverage update
- **Continuous Improvement:**
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Health, Safety, & Environment
Monitor the adherence to all relevant safety and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and responsible environmental attitude.
