Role overview

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled guestroom preventive maintenance and inspect rooms for defects.
• Complete civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and minor furniture repairs.
• Troubleshoot GRMS devices and electrical systems; service FCUs, filters, actuators, curtain systems, and chilled-water condensation systems.
• Maintain records and work orders, prepare tools and parts, and keep work areas tidy.
• Report recurring defects, equipment failures, and major repairs needing specialist support.
• Follow hotel quality, safety, environmental, and engineering procedures while minimizing disruption to guests.
• Support engineering colleagues and take on additional duties assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Education, qualifications and experience

• Diploma or trade certificate in mechanical, electrical, air conditioning, building maintenance, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years' experience in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance; luxury hotel experience is preferred.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong guestroom preventive-maintenance knowledge across civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry disciplines.
• Working knowledge of GRMS and hotel room equipment.
