Junior Site Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update piping layouts, plot plans, and isometric drawings.
• Develop material take-offs (MTO), line lists, and piping specifications.
• Support pipe stress analysis and pipe support selection under supervision.
• Review P&IDs, equipment drawings, and vendor documents for piping inputs.
• Build 3D piping models and check for clashes.
• Prepare engineering documents, datasheets, and calculations.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, process, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
• Visit sites when needed to check installation against design and report issues.
• Ensure work follows project specifications and codes, including ASME B31.3 and B31.1.
• Follow company quality, safety, and document control procedures.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of piping design or engineering experience; fresh graduates with strong internships may be considered.
• Working knowledge of piping components, materials, and fabrication methods.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD; PDMS/E3D, SmartPlant 3D, or AutoCAD Plant 3D exposure is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of CAESAR II or similar stress analysis software is an advantage.
• Ability to read P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Good technical writing, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Immediate joining is preferred.
