HSE OFFICER

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce company HSE policies, procedures, and Qatar legal requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Prepare and review method statements, JSAs/JHAs, and permit-to-work documentation.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and report findings with corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training to staff and drivers.
• Monitor safe use of vehicles, machinery, and equipment, including driver compliance and vehicle checks.
• Ensure availability and correct use of PPE, first aid supplies, and firefighting equipment.
• Maintain HSE records, registers, and monthly performance reports.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and authorities on HSE matters and inspections.
• Promote a positive safety culture and recommend continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of HSE experience in Qatar is mandatory.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification, such as IOSH, OSHA, or similar; NEBOSH is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Qatar HSE regulations and standards.
• First aid and firefighting certification is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English; Hindi is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office and report writing.
• Ability to work independently and on site.
