Junior Accountant

Job Description – Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accounting data entry and maintain accurate financial records
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) processes including supplier invoices, payment entries, and expense recording
• Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) activities and customer account updates
• Perform bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, and customer/debtor reconciliations
• Maintain proper bookkeeping records and ledger entries
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
• Prepare supporting schedules and reports for senior finance team members
• Support management accounts preparation and finance reporting tasks
• Assist with audit preparations and documentation
• Monitor outstanding balances and support follow-up activities where required
• Ensure compliance with company finance procedures and internal controls
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding finance-related matters
• Support senior accountants and finance managers in day-to-day finance operations
• Work collaboratively as a team player within the finance department

Requirements

• Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping
• Experience in Accounts Payable, reconciliations, and accounting support functions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Excel skills including:
• Formulas
• Pivot Tables
• Basic reporting
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
• Candidates pursuing professional qualifications will be preferred

Preferred Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
• Experience in bookkeeping, AP, AR, reconciliations, and finance support functions
• Experience working in fast-paced business environments preferred
• Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
