About This Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Junior Accountant** to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will have at least **1–3 years of accounting experience**, preferably in the **construction industry**, and will support day-to-day financial operations, recordkeeping, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and issue invoices, follow up on collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts.
- Support payroll processing and maintain employee expense reports.
- Assist with monthly and yearly closings.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records.
- Collaborate with project teams to monitor budgets, cost control, and progress billing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, **preferably in the construction or contracting industry**.
- Basic knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- Familiarity with project-based accounting or construction cost control.
- Knowledge of local compliance and tax filing requirements in the UAE.
