Develop a calibration/validation approach for a LEO IR Imager. The Calibration/ validation system involves developing software to isolating ground sites and other satellite coincidental measurements, comparing the radiances from these measurements with several IR channel calibrated and relocated radiances, in addition to calculating radiances differences and monitoring the changes in those differences from existing space assets of similar design.

The candidate will

Make use of AI based tools and should be familiar with their usage.

The calibration/validation system software and operational instructions will be delivered to the customer, and the candidate will follow standard design, development, test and implementation techniques specified by STC.

The first satellite mission is expected to launch in early 2028 and validation prototype software should be operational in that timeframe.

The candidate will also prepare presentations for PDR/CDR/TRR and LRR.

Must have Python coding experience

Must have skills in understanding and implementing scientific methods

Currently studying in a scientific research related field at an accredited university
