Jr Data Analyst-Inventory (Remote)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare recurring inventory reports and maintain Power BI dashboards covering inventory levels, aging, availability, movement, and supply chain metrics.
• Analyze inventory data to find trends, discrepancies, and risks; investigate data issues and escalate unresolved items.
• Monitor inventory and communicate excess, shortages, or replenishment risks.
• Organize demand, usage, shipment, and on-hand data for inventory planning.
• Reconcile reports and systems, document variances, and assist with corrective actions.
• Maintain item, location, and product master data under established procedures and controls.
• Handle reporting requests, partner with internal teams, and document reporting processes and data definitions.
• Identify reporting improvements, enhance dashboards, and follow confidentiality and data governance practices.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in inventory, supply chain, operations, reporting, analytics, or related support.
• Hands-on Power BI experience creating dashboards, reports, visualizations, and KPI tracking.
• Experience writing SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, sorting, filtering, and data validation.
• Ability to identify trends and validate data, with strong attention to detail and data integrity.
• Effective communication, organizational, and time-management skills; able to manage recurring priorities and work collaboratively.

Preferred qualifications

• A relevant associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent education, coursework, internships, or relevant experience are also considered.
• Preferred experience includes inventory management, ERP, warehouse management, or reporting systems.
• Data visualization familiarity and exposure to Power BI modeling, DAX, or dashboard development are preferred.
• Coursework, projects, or practical experience in forecasting, statistics, supply chain analytics, or inventory management is preferred.
