Joinery Draughtsman

Role overview

Drawing production

• Prepare shop, fabrication, and installation drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and joinery details.
• Create drawings for doors, wardrobes, kitchens, vanities, wall panelling, counters, furniture, and bespoke joinery.
• Incorporate site measurements and actual site conditions into drawings.
• Prepare cutting and fabrication details, material specifications, and hardware details where required.

Coordination and quality

• Coordinate drawings with architectural, MEP, and interior design requirements and with project, design, production, procurement, and site teams.
• Revise drawings based on client or consultant comments and site requirements.
• Check drawings for accuracy and compliance with approved designs and specifications to prevent fabrication and installation errors.
• Issue approved drawings to production and site teams with revision control; maintain drawing registers.
• Assist production with technical clarifications during manufacturing.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Joinery, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant joinery or interior fit-out drafting experience.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
• SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or other drafting/design software is an advantage.
• Good understanding of joinery materials, construction methods, hardware, and finishing.
• Ability to read architectural and interior design drawings; strong knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, levels, and construction details.
• UAE/GCC joinery or fit-out experience is preferred.
• Experience in high-end residential, hospitality, commercial interiors, or bespoke joinery is valued.

Employment and pay
