The Grade Checker maintains levels, grades, elevations, slopes, and alignment for road and infrastructure projects.
The role works with Surveyors, Engineers, and Foremen to ensure construction follows approved drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
Experience in road works, earthworks, excavation, subgrade, drainage, and infrastructure projects is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Check and maintain levels, grades, slopes, and elevations according to project specifications.
- Read survey drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with Surveyors, Foremen, and Site Engineers on levels and grades.
- Check formation levels, subgrade, road levels, drainage works, and other civil works.
- Monitor grading and excavation against approved drawings.
- Use measuring and leveling tools to verify elevations and gradients.
- Report discrepancies in levels or grades to the concerned supervisor.
- Ensure work meets project requirements and accuracy standards.
- Follow company HSE and safety procedures at the worksite.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Grade Checker.
- Experience in road, infrastructure, earthworks, and civil construction projects.
- Knowledge of levels, elevations, slopes, gradients, and road formation.
- Ability to read and understand civil and road drawings.
- Familiarity with leveling instruments and basic surveying equipment.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- UAE or GCC project experience is preferred.
