Role overview

Responsibilities

• Receive and manually route incoming calls through the switchboard.
• Use the appropriate plug to connect calls, including when information is incomplete.
• Handle several calls and lines at once.
• Coordinate with telephone and telex technicians to fix line and wiring faults.

Qualifications

• Be willing to learn new skills and continue developing.
• Use quick judgment and act courteously in different situations.
• Be friendly when dealing with callers.
• Be willing to train on the switchboard, rotary-dial telephone, and telex machine.
