Java/Spring Boot Developer - Vice President

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Resolve high-impact problems by evaluating complex business and system processes and industry standards.
• Provide programming expertise, follow the application architecture blueprint, and improve existing process functionality and performance.
• Adopt AI toolkits and address compute estate hygiene, security, and vulnerability remediation.
• Design and implement automated integration tests.
• Coach or advise mid-level developers and analysts, allocate work as needed, and provide second-line support, including out of hours.
• Partner with business analysts, platform, QA, support, regulatory, compliance, and audit teams.

Required qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in core Java development or systems analysis.
• Core Java expertise, including collections, I/O, multithreading, and generics.
• Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to learn new technologies, take on challenges, and adapt priorities.

Additional experience and tools

• Equities trading platform experience or familiarity is requested.
• Familiarity with cloud, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, microservices, and Linux is requested.
• Developer tools include Lightspeed, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Gradle, and Maven.
• Exposure to and interest in AI tools and technologies is requested.

Compensation

• The listed full-time salary range is $120,800 to $170,800; no pay cadence is stated.
