Build backend services, APIs, and microservices that support client platforms, with an emphasis on quality and ownership.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Break features into well-structured microservices and collaborate on system design.
- Write unit and integration tests and maintain healthy code coverage.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, write efficient queries, and tune performance.
- Integrate third-party systems, message queues, and internal services.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and production support as needed.
What you’ll bring
- Hands-on experience with Java 11 or above and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Comfort with Agile practices and tools such as Jira.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Clear written and spoken English; comfortable working remotely with a distributed team.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.
- Banking, fintech, or government project experience in the GCC.
