Janitor

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of pantry, kitchen, offices, and common areas
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal
• Follow appropriate cleaning methods and use suitable materials for different surfaces and tasks
• Handle light to moderate physical duties, including carrying trays, supplies, and equipment
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests from staff in a polite and service-oriented manner
• Ensure proper arrangement and presentation of pantry and office areas
• Monitor and restock cleaning and pantry supplies as needed
• Adhere to health and safety standards, especially in food handling and sanitation
• Properly segregate and dispose of waste, including recyclables and general waste, in accordance with guidelines
• Safely use and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and other tools
• Maintain personal hygiene, cleanliness, and proper grooming standards at all times
• Communicate effectively with staff to understand and fulfill cleaning and service requests
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management

Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning processes, tools, and chemicals
• Ability to safely handle cleaning equipment and materials
• Good physical stamina for daily cleaning tasks
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Polite, courteous, and customer-service oriented attitude
• Basic understanding of workplace hygiene and safety standards
• Basic communication skills
• Good time management and punctuality
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
