IT Vendor Analyst

Role summary

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement and management of technology service providers throughout the contract lifecycle and maintain effective supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Coordinate supplier reviews and document actions, decisions, and follow-up activities.
• Maintain supplier records, the contract register, renewal schedules, and licence inventories; track milestones, notice periods, renewals, reconciliations, and variations.
• Support procurement exercises, requests for quotations, tender activities, and supplier evaluations.
• Assist with supplier mobilisation, implementation, transition, and off-boarding.
• Monitor supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs; track supplier risks and remediation, escalating where appropriate.
• Support budget planning, expenditure forecasting, software licence management, and annual supplier reconciliations.
• Support assurance activities covering compliance, audit, cyber security, data protection, and business continuity.
• Identify improvements to supplier-management processes, governance, and reporting, and facilitate value for money.
• Support wider business process improvement and IT special projects as required.
• Support supplier compliance with the company’s Health, Safety, and Security policy.

Skills, knowledge and experience

• A background working with IT vendors; public-sector exposure is highly desirable.
• Be organised, attentive to detail, and self-motivated, and able to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
• Be able to gather requirements and derive costs, timeframes, and scope.
• Have experience with performance management, SLAs, KPIs, and compliance.
• Have an interest in developing project management skills, including Agile/Hybrid approaches.
• Have awareness of cyber security standards and information governance.
• Experience with ERP systems is desirable.
