IT Technician

About This Role

The Junior IT Technician is responsible for providing first-level technical support, maintaining network systems, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. The role ensures efficient day-to-day IT operations and supports end users across the organization.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to users for hardware, software, and network-related issues
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
• Assist in the setup, maintenance, and monitoring of LAN/WAN and wireless networks
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including internet, VPN, and internal systems
• Monitor system performance and report any irregularities or failures
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights (e.g., Active Directory, email systems)
• Perform routine system updates, patches, and antivirus management
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, incidents, and resolutions
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel when required
• Ensure adherence to company IT policies and cybersecurity protocols
• Support data backup processes and assist in disaster recovery procedures

3. Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 0–2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk environment
• Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge may be considered

4. Technical Competencies

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic server environments
• Understanding of computer hardware and troubleshooting techniques
• Exposure to Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365
• Basic knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls
• Understanding of IT security and data protection practices

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
