IT System Administrator

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, including users, groups, mailboxes, shared drives, Teams, licensing, retention, and security settings.
• Manage identity and access through Entra ID or Active Directory, SSO, MFA, role-based access, joiner-mover-leaver processes, and access reviews.
• Provision and support Windows and macOS devices using MDM, including secure baselines, encryption, and remote provisioning.
• Manage firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, VPN, printers, meeting-room AV, and internet or telecom providers.
• Maintain endpoint and email security, backups, helpdesk operations, IT assets, software licences, onboarding, offboarding, and IT policies.
• Support SOC 2, ISO 27001, and customer security reviews, and provide occasional after-hours assistance for urgent issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a system administrator or IT engineer.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Entra ID or Active Directory, MDM, endpoint management, business SaaS, and SSO.
• Knowledge of VLANs, firewalls, VPN, DNS/DHCP, Wi-Fi, MFA, least privilege, patching, EDR, email security, and backups.
• PowerShell or Bash scripting ability and clear written and spoken English.
