About This Role
Job Summary
Altermicro LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable **IT Support Specialist** to provide technical assistance, maintain IT systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day technology operations.
The ideal candidate will support end-users, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and IT peripherals.
- Troubleshoot system errors, connectivity issues, and application problems.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Monitor IT systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Support office applications, email systems, and cloud-based tools.
- Maintain IT documentation, support logs, and technical records.
- Assist in system upgrades, software installations, and IT projects.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and technical support.
- Ensure adherence to IT security policies and data protection standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and common business applications.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, or cloud services.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and ITSM tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent (preferred).
