Job Summary
The IT Support Coordinator will oversee and coordinate day-to-day IT support operations, ensuring efficient handling of technical issues, user requests, and system maintenance activities.
The role serves as the main communication link between end-users and technical teams to ensure timely and effective IT service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage IT support requests through helpdesk or ticketing systems
- Assign and prioritize technical issues to appropriate IT personnel
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network problems
- Monitor ticket status and ensure timely resolution according to SLAs
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or external vendors
- Maintain accurate records of IT incidents, resolutions, and system updates
- Assist in user account management, system access, and password resets
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software
- Ensure smooth IT operations across departments and end-users
- Prepare basic reports on IT support performance and recurring issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
- Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, or coordination roles
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, and networking basics
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT support tools
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk)
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux environments and basic network troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
