It Support Officer (Entry And Junior Level)

provides first-line technical support to employees by troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.

This role assists with IT operations, device setup, user account management, and technical problem resolution while ensuring reliable and efficient IT services across the organization.

Key Responsibilitiestechnical Support

  • Provide first-level technical support to end users
  • Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, ticketing system, or in person
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
  • Resolve technical problems within established service levels
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when required

Hardware & Software Support

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers and laptops
  • Set up printers, scanners, and peripheral devices
  • Install operating systems and business applications
  • Perform hardware upgrades and equipment replacement
  • Maintain IT equipment inventory

User Account Administration

  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts
  • Reset passwords and manage user access permissions
  • Configure email accounts and collaboration tools
  • Support Active Directory and user authentication
  • Maintain user account documentation

Network & System Support

  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting
  • Support Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity issues
  • Monitor system performance and availability
  • Perform routine system maintenance
  • Support server and infrastructure operations

It Operations

  • Maintain IT documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Record support activities in the IT ticketing system
  • Track and manage assigned support tickets
  • Assist with software licensing and asset management
  • Support IT projects and technology rollouts

Security & Compliance

  • Follow IT security policies and procedures
  • Assist with endpoint security and antivirus management
  • Report potential security risks and incidents
  • Support data backup and recovery processes
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness among employees

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and application teams
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software support
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Participate in IT improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement
