IT Support Executive

We are a leading apparel manufacturing company based in Dubai, with production facilities in Kenya and Ethiopia.

We are proudly part of Gokaldas Exports Limited, Bangalore, India, one of the largest apparel manufacturers and exporters in the region.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled **IT Support Executive** to join our Addis Ababa, Ethiopia operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive IT professional to support, maintain, and enhance the organization's IT infrastructure and systems.

Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows Server and Linux/Ubuntu /VMware).

SD-WAN & Firewall Expertise: Hands-on experience with at least one major SD-WAN vendor (e.g.

Cisco / Netskope)

Wireless Expertise: Strong understanding of Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 standards, 802.1X authentication, exposure to wireless site-survey tools (e.g., Air Magnet), and centralized WLAN architectures.

Network Protocols: Proficient in IPv4/IPv6 addressing, Quality of Service (QoS), IPsec VPNs, and VLAN segmentation.

Also to provide end-user support for network, system, and application-related issues.

Cloud: Familiarity with public cloud & networking (AWS / Azure)

Troubleshooting & Telemetry: Troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 networking issues, wireless interference, and SD-WAN tunnel degradation using performance monitoring tools.

Also to Install, maintain, and troubleshoot printers, routers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.

Service Monitoring: WAN service degradation, Link failure, follows up with ISP & restoration within SLA.

Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and logs to proactively identify and resolve hardware and software issues.

Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures, including patch management, endpoint protection (EDR/Antivirus), and firewall administration.

Administer backup systems and disaster recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and successful recovery testing.

Perform basic database administration for PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL, including backups and access management.

Coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and telecom operators.

Manage biometric attendance systems, including employee registration and data downloads.

Configure and manage email accounts and data backup processes.

Provide technical support and assistance to office staff as required.
