IT Software Engineer

Key responsibilities

• · Configure and maintain BMIDE data models, including business object hierarchies, custom properties, naming rules, and lifecycle schemes.
• · Customise Active Workspace UI layouts, JSON view models, command bars, stylesheets, and display rules.
• · Develop and maintain workflow templates, rule/action handlers, validation gates, and change-control paths.
• · Manage security and access governance through Access Manager Rule Trees, dynamic LOVs, and classification schema nodes.
• · Lead functional discovery workshops and translate business problems into detailed Jira User Stories with acceptance criteria and workflow definition.
• · Use Enterprise GenAI tools to accelerate user story drafting, generate synthetic test data, and automate configuration scripting.
• · Assemble, validate, and test BMIDE deployment packages and validate deployment.
• · Author functional test plans and lead Sprint Design Validation and User Acceptance Testing sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

• · At least 6 years of experience as an IT Systems Analyst, Techno-Functional Consultant, and PLM Engineer with tactical configuration experience in Siemens Teamcenter and Active Workspace (AWC).
• · Proficient in XML, JSON, XSLT, and scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or SQL for data manipulation and testing.
• · Demonstrated functional knowledge of multi-tier Bill of Materials management (EBOM, MBOM, substitutes/alternates) and Engineering Change Management processes.
• · Practical experience integrating generative AI tools into analysis, configuration scripting, and testing workflows.
• · Demonstrable ability to lead multi-functional workshops and translate sophisticated business requirements into actionable technical work.

Preferred Qualifications

• · Expertise in BMIDE data modelling, property extensions, and naming/revision rules.
• · Experience configuring Active Workspace declarative UI components, including JSON view models and stylesheets.
• · Deep knowledge of Teamcenter Workflow Designer, including condition tasks and handler configurations.
• · Advanced proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies using Jira.
• · Good communication skills to effectively bridge technical and non-technical partners.
• · Siemens Software certifications.
• · Experience with AI orchestration platforms and knowledge of vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or semantic search.
