Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for IT incidents, service requests, and queries by phone, email, and in person.
- Diagnose and resolve issues, escalating complex problems to specialist teams or third-party providers.
- Use remote support tools to help users across the force restore services.
- Manage tickets and requests, keeping accurate records and communicating clearly with users.
- Administer core and legacy systems; configure and support IT equipment and software.
- Maintain documentation for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Candidate requirements
- Strong customer service skills and enjoyment of helping others solve technical problems.
- Structured, logical IT troubleshooting ability and experience with a variety of IT systems, applications, and support tools.
- Organisation, clear professional communication, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to build positive working relationships and demonstrate initiative, a strong work ethic, and professional standards.
Compensation
- Advertised full-time equivalent salary is £30,333–£33,603; no pay cadence is stated.
