IT Operations & Digital Transformation Lead

The Opportunity

It Operations

• Own the day-to-day operation of all IT infrastructure and business systems
• Ensure high system availability, reliability and performance
• Lead incident management and root cause analysis
• Drive preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
• Monitor system health and proactively resolve issues before they impact operations

Infrastructure & Networks

• Manage servers, cloud infrastructure and network environments
• Maintain firewalls, Wi-Fi, switches and security controls
• Oversee backups, disaster recovery and business continuity
• Ensure infrastructure remains secure, scalable and resilient

Business Systems

• Support and improve CRM, ERP, membership platforms, POS systems, finance integrations and internal applications
• Work closely with business stakeholders to improve workflows
• Drive automation opportunities across departments

Software & Digital Platforms

• Partner with software developers to prioritise enhancements
• Coordinate testing, deployments and release management
• Ensure development aligns with business priorities
• Translate operational needs into technical requirements

Ai & Automation

• Champion the adoption of AI across the business
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work
• Evaluate and implement AI tools that improve productivity
• Develop AI-assisted workflows for IT support, documentation, reporting and operational analysis
• Ensure responsible AI governance and data security

Vendor Management

• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers
• Monitor SLAs and vendor performance
• Negotiate improvements and ensure value for money
• Support technology procurement and lifecycle management

Project Delivery

• Lead technology implementation projects from planning through execution
• Coordinate cross-functional teams
• Track milestones, risks and budgets
• Deliver projects on time and within scope

Security & Governance

• Promote cybersecurity best practices
• Ensure compliance with IT policies
• Maintain documentation and asset registers
• Support audit and compliance activities

What We'Re Looking For

• 6–10 years' experience leading IT operations in a multi-site environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments, networking, virtualization and cloud platforms
• Experience managing business applications and enterprise systems
• Experience working alongside software development teams
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
• Experience implementing automation and AI tools in business operations
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong project management capability
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational business

Experience With

• Microsoft Azure

• Microsoft 365 Administration

• VMware or Hyper-V
• Fortinet, Cisco or Ubiquiti networking
• SQL databases
• CRM platforms
• Zoho
• AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Microsoft Copilot
• Power Automate or other workflow automation platforms
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Azure, ITIL, Fortinet or similar) are advantageous.
