The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security and continuous improvement of the company's technology ecosystem.
You'll work across infrastructure, cloud services, business applications, software development, vendors and AI initiatives while ensuring our teams have reliable, secure and efficient technology every day.
It Operations
- Own the day-to-day operation of all IT infrastructure and business systems
- Ensure high system availability, reliability and performance
- Lead incident management and root cause analysis
- Drive preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
- Monitor system health and proactively resolve issues before they impact operations
Infrastructure & Networks
- Manage servers, cloud infrastructure and network environments
- Maintain firewalls, Wi-Fi, switches and security controls
- Oversee backups, disaster recovery and business continuity
- Ensure infrastructure remains secure, scalable and resilient
Business Systems
- Support and improve CRM, ERP, membership platforms, POS systems, finance integrations and internal applications
- Work closely with business stakeholders to improve workflows
- Drive automation opportunities across departments
Software & Digital Platforms
- Partner with software developers to prioritise enhancements
- Coordinate testing, deployments and release management
- Ensure development aligns with business priorities
- Translate operational needs into technical requirements
Ai & Automation
- Champion the adoption of AI across the business
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work
- Evaluate and implement AI tools that improve productivity
- Develop AI-assisted workflows for IT support, documentation, reporting and operational analysis
- Ensure responsible AI governance and data security
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers
- Monitor SLAs and vendor performance
- Negotiate improvements and ensure value for money
- Support technology procurement and lifecycle management
Project Delivery
- Lead technology implementation projects from planning through execution
- Coordinate cross-functional teams
- Track milestones, risks and budgets
- Deliver projects on time and within scope
Security & Governance
- Promote cybersecurity best practices
- Ensure compliance with IT policies
- Maintain documentation and asset registers
- Support audit and compliance activities
What We'Re Looking For
- 6–10 years' experience leading IT operations in a multi-site environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments, networking, virtualization and cloud platforms
- Experience managing business applications and enterprise systems
- Experience working alongside software development teams
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
- Experience implementing automation and AI tools in business operations
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Strong project management capability
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational business
Experience With
- Microsoft Azure
• Microsoft 365 Administration
- VMware or Hyper-V
- Fortinet, Cisco or Ubiquiti networking
- SQL databases
- CRM platforms
- Zoho
- AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Microsoft Copilot
- Power Automate or other workflow automation platforms
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Azure, ITIL, Fortinet or similar) are advantageous.
