Role overview
The IT Networks Operations Engineer joins Jet2’s IT Networks Infrastructure team and reports to the IT Networks Manager.

Network operations
- Administer enterprise firewalls and micro-segmentation platforms.
- Review firewall rules, implement security improvements, and manage network patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Monitor network performance and security alerts and support network-related incidents at second and third line.
- Own network issues through to resolution.
Change and installations
- Raise, document, implement, test, and validate network changes within an ITIL-aligned change management framework.
- Support physical network installations at operational locations, including installing, commissioning, and maintaining network devices.
Required experience and knowledge
- Experience with enterprise firewall administration, network infrastructure support, and vulnerability remediation is required.
- Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and NAT, are required.
- Experience in structured change-control environments is required.
